Code of Ethics and Rules of Conduct for RespirNet Vendor Associates

The participants of the RespirNet are a group of professional associates with diverse backgrounds. Respirnet Associates and Associate Vendors agree to act as a source for the collection and dissemination of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) information.

Respirnet Vendor Associates agree to provide Respirnet Inspector associates with service and products based on ethical and professional business practices. With a goal of Biohazard awareness, education, and investigation, Respirnet Associates and Vendors are dedicated to the advancement of ethical IAQ professional practices through networking, training and certification.

RespirNet has adopted, and commends to its vendor associates, the following code of ethics.

Objective

The objective of this code is to provide standards of ethical conduct for Respirnet Vendor Associates as they interact with Respirnet Associates, seeking to ensure the viability and integrity of the Respirnet along with the protection of the American public and their property from IAQ concerns.

Rules of Conduct

RespirNet Vendor Associates agree to:

1. Follow accepted Indoor Air Quality industry standards and guidelines.
   
   
2. Strive to provide Respirnet Associates with solid IAQ and ethical business services and products.
   
   
3. Maintain current IAQ training from Respircare Analytical Instructors when able and provide candid feedback for all training courses.
   
   
4. Use only an approved and accredited laboratory for analytical services.
   
   
5. Perform Indoor Air Quality services only within the areas of their competence, exercising caution not to misrepresent their credentials, training or experience.
   
   
6. Deal responsibly and ethically in advising parties regarding potential damage to property and/or risk to health.
   
7. Maintain confidentiality concerning both personal and business information gathered in the performance of their professions, except in the case of overriding legal and/or health concerns.
   
   
8. Avoid instances where potential conflict of interest or compromise of professional judgment may occur.
   
   
9. Act with integrity to uphold the standards of their profession and Respircare Analytical to avoid any conduct that could adversely reflect on Respirnet Associates.
   
   
10. Remain active in the IAQ industry.
