 Bill McLeod
Bill is a visionary entrepreneur with over 25 years of sales and marketing experience in real estate related industries. In addition to being a co-founder of RespirNet, Bill owns and operates AMI Environmental Testing, LLC and Advanced Mold Inspections based in Oceanside, California.
AMI is one of the most successful mold inspection companies in the United States with over 6,000 mold projects logged from 2002 to 2007. AMI services Southern California from Mexico to Malibu, the Pacific Ocean to Palm Desert. Bill’s vision for RespirNet is a comprehensive resource center, providing IAQ service providers with the education, marketing assistance and technical support tools to start and maintain successful businesses.
 Ron Ford
Ron is a co-founder of RespirNet and brings to the organization an extensive background in business development, leadership and management training, strategic planning facilitation, and web development. As a business consultant, he has worked with companies large and small in various industries helping them to develop strategic and organizational planning that effectively transforms their vision into action and results. Ron has also been very active in launching new businesses and coaching business and non-profit leaders and their teams. He and his oldest son have a web site development company in San Diego called Integrity Web Services, LLC which is focused on helping businesses align their business plans with the opportunities of the modern Internet.
 Mike Buettner
Mike is the founder of Respircare Analytical Services, is a co-founder of the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization (IESO) and of the RespirNet. Regarded as a national leading authority and educator in the indoor air quality training industry, Mike has trained over 600 environmental inspectors nation-wide and provides continued education courses and personal mentoring to IAQ professionals in the specialty fields mold inspections, indoor allergen screening and assessment, radon testing, and volatile organic compounds (VOC). In 2001 Mike was asked to join Aerotech Laboratories, one of the nation’s leading, state-of-the-art analytical facilities. Mike was tasked with developing training programs for real estate professionals, home inspectors, and consumers that explained IAQ issues and offered cost effective solutions. Having lost his mother to cancer, Mike believed finding solutions to IAQ problems could be a partial answer to some cancer issues which appeared to be indoor environmentally induced, so he eagerly accepted their offer.
Assigned dual roles at Aerotech as the Strategic Markets Director and as the Training Director for the Aerotech Technical Institute, Mike spent countless hours of research in order to assist in the development of training programs and inspection standards. During this time, Mike’s sister, Rita, a non-smoker, was diagnosed with lung cancer. After questioning and researching various possibilities, Mike came to the realization that Rita’s cancer may have been environmentally induced by Radon. Fueled with this knowledge, Mike’s passion to provide even better biohazard awareness and education became his life’s purpose and although Aerotech Laboratories was sold to Severn Trent Laboratories in 2004, Mike stayed on with the company full time for another year and then as a private consultant on paid retainer for an additional year.
On June 24th, 2005, approximately one year after his sister’s death, Mike founded Respircare Analytical Services with the goal of carrying on the legacy of “Biohazard Awareness, Education and Investigation”.
Over the years, many of the inspection professionals that attended the Aerotech/Respircare Analytical training classes expressed interest in continuing their education and relationship with Respircare Analytical. For a prolonged period of time Mike Buettner provided business advice and analytical review services at no charge to the students that had attended his training. As the years passed the number of students that used the data review and business services provided by Respircare Analytical grew to the point that it became necessary to organize and formalize a structure entity to continue Mike’s vision of biohazard awareness, education, and training. Partnering with Bill McLeod and Ron Ford the RespirNet was formalized.
